I am back

It's been a very long time

Since I have been able to get on here & post. My life has been like a merry go round that is spinning out of control. I have had several health issues. As most of you know. I have cancer. Well, I had been in remission for a long time. But it has reared it's ugly head again. So between Dr. visits,treatments, and my husband having a total knee replacement. I have not had much time to spend here or on my online business. It is so sad now to see that everyone has pretty much abandoned me on my message board. I will now have to get busy and try to rebuild my business and see if I can get anyone back on the message board. So for now, I just want to wish you all a very Wonderful Christmas. And watch for me after the first of the year, as I plan on a complete makeover of my store & message board.

Been busy busy

On July 25th, ScrappersDomain will be 1 yr.old.We are planning an online crop starting at 6:00 pm Friday and ending at 10:00 pm Saturday. And allowing till 10:00 pm Sunday for all challenge to be completed & posted.There are going to be some awesome games, Bingo, Scrap-enger hunt, word scramble, and what ever else I can come up with lol.There will be some great prizes too.The Design Team has some wonderful layout challenges planned. There will also be sketch challenges for everyone.The Bingo words are already up on the site, so head over and pick your words and e-mail them to me at mailto:sd@scrappersdomain.com
I have to have them by July 23rd.If you have never been to one of our online crops, you don't know what your missing. So if you are looking for your mojo, you'll find it that week-end. Hope to see everyone there and playing along.

Wow, didn't realize it had been this long since I posted here. Well I'll start off with the ScrappersDomain newsletter.

Sorry this is so late, the person who was in charge of the newsletters, has given up the position. And so now I am back to doing it myself. Well alot has been going on, most of my Design Team is taking the summer off. So not many layouts being posted. I may have to start looking for some more DT members. Because I am afraid some may not come back, because of busy, busy life's they lead. Oh well, there is no big hurry. Just want everyone to enjoy their summer.

Well now for some exciting news.......
I have decided to expand ScrappersDomain. I have purchased a lofted barn style building, and I now have a physical store for people to come & shop.
I am also holding Crops & Classes every month. Crops will be the 2nd & 4th Fridays & classes will be the 1st & 3rd Satudays. Our first class is this Friday, Kelli will be teaching the "Stinkin' Cute" class.It is a paper piecing layout. It is totally adorable.
I am also in the process of setting up a week-end retreat in Bennet Springs, MO. I am waiting to hear back from the lady that runs the resort for prices and such. Anyone interested in joining us please feel free to e-mail me. I will send an e-mail out as soon as we have a date & prices.
There has been a lot of illness among the ladies in the forum. Prayers go out to all of them.
And special prayers for Nonnie as she is recovering from surgery to remove cancer. Still waiting to hear from her as to whether she has heard about the test results. Also prayers for Sherry, that the Drs will soon figure out what is wrong with her.

Well ScrappersDomain is almost 1yr. old. I am getting activities lined up for everyone so they can celebrate with me. So watch for the next newsletter with all the plans.

Busy week-end

The weather was awesome this week-end, so did some work in the yard, and did some remodeling in my shop. I am quickly running out of room out there.

Well, I got myself into it this time. I have signed up for my very first craft event. We have an annual event called The Cherry Blossom Festival here. So I signed up to have a scrapbooking booth. With the help of my friend Kelli we are going to offer pre-made scrapbook pages, kits & handmade cards. I am also working on an album that if I can get it finished in time will also be offered for sale. So we have a total of 19 days to get this all done. So please cross your fingers for us.
Plus I am busy getting activities planned for the National Scrapbook Day celebration for my message board. So I may not be posting to much here. But I will be having fun trying to keep everything straight for all I have to do. lol.

So guess I better get off here & get busy.

A while back someone on my message board posted the link to Angels in Waiting. And I contacted them, to start a chapter here in my area.

I also challenged everyone on my message board to get involved with this, and I have recieved some very awesome scrapbook pages.

Well today I recieved this e-mail from them and wanted to share it, and hopfully you too will want to become involved with us.Please go to their website & read about them & the wonderful thing they want to do for these children.

I can hardly call you a pest - you've single-handedly created more Pages for Angels than any one else in the country. So thanks a whole lot.We've just had a board meeting about setting up chapters in individual cities since we're all a little green in the process ourselves. We're consulting our attorney about the protocol as per our 501 (c) 3 regulations.In the meantime we're asking for pages to be sent to us here in California so that we can package them in clear protective envelopes with our Angels in Waiting sticky labels and send them back to your city's agencies (either Children's Services directly or a Private Foster Agency willing to be our liaison.)It's important for us to get the sticker with all our contact information to the foster children since we want the foster children to be able to contact us and stay in touch through our web-site and 1-800 number (we're looking at setting up a foster-child forum so they can make and maintain life-long contacts via the web-site with other foster children, Angels in Waiting support staff, scrapbookers who have made pages, siblings, or foster siblings etc.It'll take us a couple weeks to get the protocol outlined for how the chapters are set up - once we do that we'll eliminate the step of having to send the pages to California first and send the labels, etc. to you directly. I can't tell you how touched we all are by your willing participation. One little idea can start a movement and we're beginning to see how big this can be. We're looking to send a whole scrapbook's worth of pages to each child (ie: 20 pages with layouts for birthday, holiday pages (some Christian, some non-Christian), character building (ie: girlie girl, boy pages, etc.)Please be sure to sign the back of the pages you make and include your city. Include any other information you don't mind sharing (ie: email address). This will ensure your pages get back to your local community. We'll be sending mailing cards in the package to the children as well and asking their foster parents to send them to your address (so include a main address that the "Chapter" will have on a continual basis) as a confirmation that a child has received them.I hope that doesn't sound too complicated. Feel free to forward to your anxious friends and helpers.Again, thank you, thank you, thank you. We have wanted to impact as many lives as possible and change the face of foster care in this country - one child at a time - and with your help we're realizing our dream.I'll start doing my research as to which agencies will get on board with you there. Well it's raining like crazy here tonight.I am getting tired of the rain, we have had a lot of rain and flooding here in Missouri.

Well the excitment is gearing up over at ScrappersDomain. National Scrapbooking Day is coming up May 5th. So the wheels are turning as to what all we are going to be doing that week-end, yes it's the whole week-end. There will be games, challenges, classes, and lots & lots of scrapping.

Well had a busy afternoon, kids had Dr. appt. then just had to stop at Hobby Lobby and check out the sales. Of course had no money ;-(.

Well we are almost at the end of our 6th week of Scrap That Tune, only 2 more weeks. Makes me kinda sad, cause I see so much talent from everyone that has joined in. They have all done an awesome job, their designs are breath taking.
That's why I am so glad everyone has to vote, cause I could never pick just one winner.

Well I have undertaken a new project and am hoping that everyone will join in on it too.
I now have an ongoing challenge for everyone.
There is this wonderful organization called "Angels In Waiting". And what they do is ask for donations of scrapbook pages (without pictures) to give to children that are in foster care. We are working hard on getting a Chapter set up in the county I am in. But we are looking for volunteers from all over.
My goal is to be able to get 50 completed pages a month to put together scrapbooks for these children. Everyone is welcome to participate in this. I am asking that the completed pages be sent to me, and I will get them sent off with your name as the scrapbooker. Well, it's been over a month since I was last here. A lot has gone on.
My Grand Opening was a huge success. Had lots of awesome layouts done. I have some of the best ladies on my list. I love them like they were family.
Everyone worked hard that week end scrapping. I think some were glad when it was over. But I am not letting them off that easy ;-)
My wonderful design team is really kicking butt now. There are challenges being posted every week, there will be prizes, and just lots of fun.
We are also starting up a new type of challenge called "Scrap That Tune" everyone is excited about it. I think this is going to exciting to see what everyone come up with.
This activity will last 8 weeks. A different tune each week. So be sure to go & check out what they come up with. www.scrappersdomain.com

Rough week

Well as I figured I have fallen behind here. So let me give a brief summery of whats been going on in my life.
Well Christmas has come & gone (thank goodness). My Hubby has lost 2 of his close family members in one week. He is in CO now as we speak. Coming home tomorrow. I have been so busy getting everything ready for the grand opening of my store, next month. But I can finally take a deep breath I think I have all the details worked out, all the games planned, challenges all set up. So as they say at Taco Bell, I am GOOD to GO. The ladies on my Message Board are getting all geared up too. Love the prizes, and they all want to win them all. This could be very interesting ;-)
I have been able to scrap some. I agreed to a challenge with a friend , that I would complete 6 layouts before the end of the year. And I did it!!!. So now I have scrapbook fever and don't want to stop scrappin.
In fact I am gonna stop here, and go finish up the layout I am working on.

well didn't get the snow they predicted, thats a good thing for right now. I am soooo not ready for a lot of snow.
Spent most the scrapping. And working on some of the games for the Grand Opening. Have everything just about ready, and can sit back & just wait for the day to arrive.
Will post my layouts later tonight or in the morning. This is an ongoing album that I am making. It's about all my scrapping adventures , like crops & retreats, so will add more as i go to more of these activities.
